3. MUSIC

To complete the screening process, all dance groups must submit performance music 2 weeks before the World of Dance event date. All music must be in an mp3 format and emailed to competition@worldofdancegreece.com

Music Screening Process

After your dance group submits your music, the World of Dance Team will ensure it meets our standards. The following rules apply:

Profanity and inappropriate or offensive language are NOT allowed. Since World of Dance is a family event, all music must be clean. Explicit content is also NOT allowed. Music and performance time must not exceed 6 minutes in length. The World of Dance Team will email your primary contact, notifying them of whether or not your music has been approved. If changes need to be made, your primary contact will be able to do so. Pay attention to the eligibility rules! You will be removed from the event if your group is asked more than twice to clean up and resubmit your music. Groups who neglect to send in their music two weeks before the event may be removed from the show lineup (up to the discretion of the Director and Stage Manager).

**After your music has been approved, performers must provide a backup USB labeled with the group name on it. The music file on the backup USB must be the same file approved by the stage manager. If the music file is switched and violates the language and/or time rule, the performer(s) will no longer be allowed to perform and may be banned from participating in future World of Dance live events.

4. PRE-SHOW PACKET

To get you excited and ready to perform, the World of Dance Team will provide a Performer's Packet to each group’s primary contact. 6. MAIN STAGE AREA & BACKSTAGE SPECS

Venue / Staging
Because each venue is different, main stage dimensions will differ from city to city. Crossovers are available at most World of Dance events. The Event Manager can address inquiries for Main Stage Areas before the Event Date. Due to the nature of the venue, it’s pretty much impossible for us to offer proper dressing rooms to each of the hundreds of dancers participating in the event. Instead, performers can get ready in designated open spaces or other rooms allocated for prep. All performers are responsible for their own items. The venue, World of Dance staff, all World of Dance live event affiliates, and sponsors will not be held accountable for any lost, stolen, or damaged items. All performers may get their hair and make-up done by the Paul Mitchell salon team for free. All hair and make-up appointments are made on a first-come, first-served basis. So get there early if you want to get styled on us!

Props
Got props in your act? All of them must go through a screening process. The World of Dance Team must approve all performance props before the event date. Email photos of your props to the Event Manager before the event to get approval. All props must be fire retardant. Any prop that hasn’t been approved before the event will not be allowed on stage.

Tech
Due to time constraints, tech rehearsals will not be permitted on the main stage.

7. AWARDS & PRIZES

What’s in it for you? The fun of expressing yourself with hundreds of other dancers, the thrill of sharing your art, and prizes! To celebrate the most successful performances, World of Dance Greece will hold an Awards Ceremony after each division.
